iDeals is not a real online shopping outlet. In fact, the site has been designed by BizTrain to serve a completely unrelated purpose.

BizTrain’s core business actually exists within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. We design eLearning training and assessment resources for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), and specialise in developing online programs within the marketing, business and management domains.

iDeals is our flagship Simulated Business, which enables learners to actively participate, providing them with invaluable hands-on experience in a digital workplace.

iDeals’ mission is to provide students with the learning and assessment conditions needed to complete their nationally recognised qualification in a logical, hands-on and highly enjoyable fashion.

Our approach to eLearning to provide learners with training and assessment products they actually want, and enjoy using, rather than force-feeding them with products we think they should have.

If we do this successfully, we actually remove the need to push the learner from progression through to completion.

iDeals has been designed to provide learners, whom are undertaking vocational education and training (VET), with a business setting they can see, connect with, and actively participate in.

The intended purpose of VET is to make sure students exit their course in a state of being work-ready. Or, in other words, able to start a job in their chosen field, and perform the role competently, from the onset.

Logic tells us that work-ready training requires the student to learn in the workplace. Unfortunately though, for some people, workplace training isn’t easily accessible. To overcome this hurdle and, as to ensure they adhere to the principles of access and equity, training organisations often use of simulated workplace environments.

Although simulated workplaces are designed to replicate a real workplace, the reality is, many simply don’t. This, of course, does little to optimise our students’ educational outcomes.

As far as we’re concerned, ‘It’s simply iDeal to have simulation align with real’.
